Championship Show - September 2012
I received a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed this appointment. The quality in both sexes was generally good with few absentees which was pleasing. I have mentioned before that teeth should be even with perfect regular scissor bite. I again found a couple of exhibits that did not quite match these criteria. The overall standard of presentation and handling was good.
SPECIAL BEGINNERS (1) 1.Harts Saredon Picture Star – nice head and shown in reasonable coat, up to size, handling was a little tentative which did not help the movement.
MPD (1) 1. Averis’s Saredon Rocket Man – promising 6 month old youngster, well presented and in good coat. Balanced head, compact body, tail well set on with good rear angulation, moved and showed well. Still has some growing to do but should have a bright future BP
PD – NO ENTRIES
JD (2) 1.Graham’s Hijhmoor Unchained Melody At Stanstead – another promising youngster just 12 months old. Well balanced overall with good hindquarters and tail set, well placed ears with fair expression, shown in good coat and nicely presented. 2.Ross-Johnson’s Luble Bomerang At Monsoonmoon – moderately short back with good reach of neck, correct coat texture but would benefit from tighter trimming. Not the set on of 1. Moved well both ends but does need to settle.
ND (2) 1.Luble Bomerang At M 2. Clarke’s Chinese Whisper Catcher – fair head and good coat texture. Very unsure of himself making his qualities and movement very difficult to assess
PGD (2) 1. Burgoine & Woodward’s Oregill Full Steam – balanced head, well placed ears, reasonable coat, would have liked a better set on, moved ok 2. Burgoine & Woodward’s Aaronsway Sungleam – shown in good coat, ears a little erratic, a little unsettled but well controlled by the handler.
LD (3) (1a) Two quality dogs I just preferred the overall balance of my winner 1. Byrne, McCardle & Punter’s Eskwyre Golden Boy – well balanced head, correct eye giving the desired expression, nicely placed ears, lovely reach of neck, shoulders well laid back, good set on and strong hindquarters which he used to advantage. Very well presented and handled. 2. McCallum’s Glentops Back In Time – beautifully presented and in good coat, tail well set on, level top line, compact body and liked his size. Would have liked more reach of neck Moved well
OD (6) Both dogs presented to a high standard – just preferred the head of the winner.1.Davani’s Ch Kebulak Man After Midnight – balanced head and keen expression, well laid back shoulder, straight front, strong body, tail well set on and in excellent coat and condition. Moved well and showed the characteristics I look for in this breed CC 2. Malzoni Jnr’s Saredon Sea Raven – a black & tan of nice size, slightly more compact than the winner with a good reach of neck and well placed shoulders, nicely bodied, and shown in good coat Very well presented and handled RCC 3. Ashe’s Ebrooks Red Robbo
MPB (1) Averis’s Set Fire To The Rain – litter sister to the MPD, pretty bitch with nicely balanced head and good eye, straight front, good rear angulation and tail set. Not as together as her brother on the day but very promising.

Promising, should have a good future. 2. Leadbeater & Kerrigan’s Leadstaffs Queen Of Hearts – a red shown in reasonable coat with correct texture, balanced head and well placed ears, good overall balance but would prefer her slightly smaller, moved with drive, one of the best movers on the day 3. Callon, Callon-Winn and Kolev’s Wyndam Gangsters Moll.
NB (2) (1a) 1.Wyndam Gangsters Moll – pretty grizzle but short of coat, reasonable head and expression, tail well set on, straight front but a little short in leg which spoilt her overall balance
